David Musselman draws on over two decades of sales experience in the healthcare sector to serve as the vice president of sales and commercial strategy at Urovant Sciences, a California-based biotechnology company that develops treatments for urological conditions. In this capacity, David Musselman serves as the key architect of sales expansion efforts and oversees strategy execution for new product planning and long-term, specialty, and primary care sales. He also prioritizes talent management, and his culture and engagement initiatives contributed to Urovant Sciences’ Great Place to Work certification in 2023.

Prior to his role at Urovant Sciences, Mr. Musselman spearheaded development for commercialization plans and market access strategies at Spero Therapeutics as the senior vice president of sales and market access. He also spent 13 years at Astellas Pharma’s Northbrook, Illinois, office, which he joined in 2007 as a senior regional sales manager. Throughout his time at the company, he established a reputation for leading successful initiatives and cultivating top-performing teams. He was promoted to senior area sales director in 2011 and earned the 2016 Director of the Year award after becoming a director of regional accounts. At the time of his departure from Astellas, he served as the area vice president.

David Musselman maintains an interest in the field of urology, and he enjoys reading, boating, and hiking in his spare time. He has an undergraduate degree in finance and management from the University of South Carolina, as well as a master of business administration in management from Wake Forest University.
